Responsibility
- collaborate with the Technical team to ensure our designs comply with the relevant Luminaire Design Standards
- working as part of a team, to be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate, clear and detailed design data to support the manufacture of any standard, variant or new product development
- gain an understanding of the Solite product portfolio and follow guidelines to ensure consistency across design elements
Requirements
- ideally 5 years minimum design experience
- sheet metal /fabrication design experience would be an advantage
- experience in the use of Inventor, AutoCAD and working with Vault is strongly desirable
- knowledge of design processes and experience of Design for Manufacture is vital
- demonstrating creative thinking, technical ability and an awareness of current design trends
- ability to demonstrate ideas, research and problem solving
- degree in Product Design/ HND or other equivalent engineering qualification i.e., HNC in Mechanical Engineering. Proven commercial skills in a similar role or industry would be an advantage
- highly organised, able to prioritise workload and understand design briefs
