Responsibility

  • our Supported living homes currently supports 3 individuals. ​ The home is run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • our residential service in Mildenhall, Suffolk currently supports 6 adults
  • you’ll be joining our team, both locally and nationally and we’ll support you every step of the way
  • it is a detached large coach house a short walk away from Mildenhall town centre
  • you will have a working knowledge of care standards and related legislation and have good report writing skills
  • possession of a driving licence is preferred but not essential

speech and language therapist

  • training teaching and support staff
  • providing direct and indirect therapeutic input to both school and residential settings
  • having a working knowledge of a variety of relevant teaching/therapy approaches
  • you must be RCSLT and HPC registered
  • providing supervision to a small team of therapists and assistants

  • this is a full time permanent position 9 week contract- working 4 weeks of school holidays
  • you must be RCSLT and HPC registered with a full driving licence and access to a car

Requirements

  • recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree/Diploma
  • health and Care Professionals Council Registration
  • registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
  • at least 1-2 years’ experience in the field
  • good knowledge of relevant AAC

  • to write reports, programmes and Communication Profiles reflecting specialist knowledge for Annual Reviews and as required
  • to demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures
