Requirements

  • due to planned growth, we are seeking to create the new role of Design Manager to join the construction department
  • the Development Manager will be embroiled with the design, planning, tendering, procurement, onsite delivery, completion and defects period of each project
  • the role requires integrated working between departments, including the utilisation of core business support from our central provision
  • the role requires adherence to company policies and procedures to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • the role, based both in our Stockton office and on project sites, will report to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for effective management of the design process for our projects
  • managed by the Director of Group Operations and reporting to the Executive Board, the Development Manager will be responsible for the delivery of construction projects as client representative when working alongside an internal contracting team, as well as sourcing externally

Responsibility

  • analysing current operational processes and project performance, recommending solutions in a quarterly report and presenting this at the Land & Development Board meeting
  • supervising budgets, programme and technical delivery during the construction phase of each project, working and communicating clearly with the Construction Department and reporting progress monthly to the Development Management Team
