  • A minimum of 3 years experience, ideally with at least 12 months at management level and ideally from a restaurant background
  • great work/life balance - Early finish times for hospitality. Latest typically 11.45pm

Responsibility

  • the Whalley Wine Bar is looking for a highly-experienced, hands-on and professional Bar Manager to lead a small team in delivering an exceptional product and standard of service
  • A destination, premium wine bar, we offer superb hospitality in a beautifully designed modern bar in the heart of the Ribble Valley
  • we are looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join the business and lead our bar team to create a brilliant work atmosphere while striving to become the best bar in the Ribble Valley
  • A real understanding of the procedures and processes needed for top class hospitality is key along with the ability to transfer this knowledge to your team and as a strong motivator be able to get the most out of them at all times
  • you will have very strong organisational skills and thrive on creating and implementing schedules and processes within the business to make it more organised, efficient and seamless
  • A good understanding of social media platforms and how to use them to drive business is also important and management of these will be part of the role
  • serving a rotating selection of 30+ wines by the glass from a 600 bottle wine list alongside beers, spirits and a small but high quality food menu focussed around cheese, charcuterie and small plates
