Responsibility

  • carrying out necessary food prep before and after main service
  • running a section of the kitchen during brunch and dinner services
  • follow the head chefs instructions whilst working within a team
  • maintain good hygiene within the kitchen
  • maintain a timely performance in a fast-paced environment
  • maintain clean and tidy appearance wearing chef whites and non-slip shoes
  • monitoring safety standards; follow strict safety standards and monitor they are being maintained, as well as looking after the functionality and sanitation of kitchen equipment

Requirements

  • chef diploma levels 1 – 3 favourable
  • knowledge and experience working in a vegetarian or vegan kitchen
  • passion and in-depth understanding for plant-based food
  • excellent communication and organisation skills
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • dedicated to food quality and control
  • strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
  • creative problem solving with stock, recipes and what is seasonally available
