Requirements

  • working towards a professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy
  • evidence that you have been assessed as ‘Fit to Practice’
  • work independently to provide one-to-one counselling to clients from the age of 12 years
  • BACP Membership
  • manage own caseload and liaise with relevant stakeholders when necessary, under the supervision of the Counselling Service Lead
  • training and/or experience of online or telephone counselling
  • work with a range of presenting issues considered to be low risk and low complexity
  • safeguarding training
