recognised Diploma/Degree
registered with Health Care Professions Council – Licence to Practice
evidence of successful completion of a range of other short courses at post graduate level
evidence of attendance at other specialist course relevant to paediatrics
experience in working with children with various diagnoses, including, sensory integration challenges, autistic spectrum disorder, dyspraxia, dyslexia and developmental delay
ability to develop and implement individualised treatment plans
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals
excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written, of complex information to other professionals
Responsibility
to be responsible as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a clinical workload
to undertake assessments of children, using both standardised and non-standardised assessment tools
to demonstrate clinical reasoning and the ability to interpret assessment data and write clinical assessment reports
to provide a high standard of clinical record keeping
to provide an effective high-quality service to all children and families
to communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to promote the safety of children and the management of risk
to devise child/family centred treatment plans through use of goal attainment scaling, considering a wide range of treatment techniques and grading activities to ensure that the individual’s full potential is developed or maintained
to conduct 1:1 and small group treatment sessions in school
