Responsibility
- helping to set up activities for the children
- supporting children to engage in activities and participate with others
- the Scraptoft Day Nursery in Leicester is currently on the lookout for a qualified Nursery Practitioner to work in our nursery
- supporting children at mealtimes and assisting with eating and drinking
- as a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and education for all children
- getting involved in creative and messy play with the children
- ensuring the individual needs of the children are identified and met
- helping children to sing, read, count and join in with imaginative play
Requirements
- have a full and relevant level 3 qualification in Childcare
- be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development
- be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning
- have strong written and verbal communication skills
- act as designated key person for an allocated number of children
- ensure you observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework
- develop positive partnership with parents
- as with any apprenticeship opportunity – if you prove yourself to be a valuable member of the team there is a strong chance of a permanent post within the business
