night manager

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • be aware of equal opportunities, ensuring that anti-discriminatory practice is embedded across the work force
  • incorporating safeguarding responsibilities
  • records include things such as Staff Appraisals, supervisions, staff meetings, and accurately recording interactions with young people
  • to be integral to the development and delivery of high quality support in accordance with relevant Legislation, Regulations, and The Organization's Policies and Procedures
  • to attend, prepare, and chair various meetings independently or alongside the registered manager if required
  • to take on-call responsibilities – if required to undertake shifts to cover shortfalls/staff sickness
  • adherence to all legislative guidelines in respect of Health & Safety and ensure that all staff have adequate working knowledge and training
  • to support the manager in the keeping of appropriate records relating to both young people and employees and the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems within the organisation

Requirements

  • enthusiasm in providing the highest quality support
  • experience of managing a team
  • comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • knowledge and understanding of the needs of vulnerable individuals
  • demonstrate high standards of safe working practice
  • ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, young people and outside agencies whilst remaining personable
  • ability to maintain emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviour
  • demonstrate respect for appropriate boundaries and authority
