  • ensure the food is prepared in a sanitary manner
  • adhere to all hygiene and safety regulations
  • prepare and cook a wide array of dishes using modern cooking techniques
  • assit management of kitchen staff and delegate tasks as appropriate
  • assist planning of menus and determine the amount of food needed by each meal service
  • assist in organising orders for the kitchen
  • set up workstations efficiently according to particular job requirements
  • maintain good relations with vendors and suppliers
