  • the Ralph is a large independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre in Marlow, southeast of England
  • we pride ourselves in providing exceptional, compassionate care for dogs and cats
  • our dedicated and passionate team continually delivers the best treatment and support for our patients and their families
  • management of our pharmacy's daily operations
  • maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of pharmaceutical and other supplies and consumables, ensuring stock is always well-stocked and replenished
  • assist with the placement, receiving, and organisation of drug and other inventory orders
  • ensure that all inventory is properly labelled, stored, and disposed of as required
  • work closely with our large team of veterinary surgeons and nurses to ensure that prescribed medications are prepared accurately and efficiently

Requirements

  • already being a Companion Animal Suitably Qualified Person or having a similar qualification is desirable but not essential
  • prior experience in the veterinary or another healthcare sector is a plus
  • prior experience in pharmacy or inventory management is a plus
  • strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
  • proficient in basic computer applications
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their wellbeing

Responsibility

  • line manage the Customer Care Team, ensuring the team provide high-quality standards of service
  • implement internal processes and procedures to deliver continuous improvements
  • monitor set Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements, ensure team’s targets are consistently met
  • compile accurate reports, analyse statistics and control resources to deliver an efficient and outstanding service
  • identify knowledge gaps/training needs and work closely with the Hospital Director to ensure the team is supported
  • act as a mentor to our Customer Care Team, helping them to resolve issues at the point of call where possible
  • work with the Team Leader to provide onboarding and training to new Customer Care Team members
  • work closely with our Finance and Pricing teams to ensure billing and pet insurance matters are dealt with accurately and efficiently
