an exciting opportunity is available for an experienced pastry chef to work for a busy family run wholesale patisserie in Warwickshire
we are looking for someone who can ‘hit the ground running’ and have a strong input into the production and menu ideas at our award winning patisserie

we supply local cafes, farm shops and restaurants as well as catering events and running a stall twice a month at farmer’s markets

you will be working closely with the owner and head pastry chef as well as the small team of pastry chefs and kitchen staff
as the senior pastry chef you will be working closely with the owner and head pastry chef as well as the small team of pastry chefs and kitchen staff
you will supervise the production and train junior staff members as well as being ‘in the action’ baking and running the sections yourself
Requirements
demonstrate technical knowledge of baking and patisserie. Experience with problem solving and understanding the science of baking
produce high quality tarts, desserts, tray bakes and cakes
hold food hygiene level 2 or above
demonstrate good knowledge of baking and patisserie
experience of controlling stock levels, FIFO and stock ordering
previous experience running a pastry section in either a hotel or bakery environment. Fast pace and high quality work is desirable. Demonstrate technical knowledge of baking and patisserie
