Responsibility

  • oxford Food Hub is a fantastic charity, at the centre of surplus food redistribution in Oxfordshire
  • this work has been challenging and demanding but shows that what we do really matters to the people of Oxfordshire
  • our Secretary will be fully conversant with all the legislation affecting the Charity and the provisions of the governing documents
  • an understanding of the charitable community in Oxfordshire would be preferable
  • now in our 15th year, we have grown year on year, and in 2022 we supplied 1.1 million meals worth of produce, which we collected free of charge from retailers, wholesalers and caterers and delivered, for free, to over 180 local charities and community groups in Oxfordshire
  • they need us to take even bigger steps forward to address food poverty and food waste, and we are looking for a new Secretary to play a pivotal role in supporting us to achieve this
  • the role of the secretary is to support the chair by ensuring the board functions smoothly. You will work with the Chair and other Trustees on policy development and improving efficiency across the charity
  • as a well-organised and efficient individual, the Board Secretary will support and advise the Board to oversee and monitor the Charity’s activities
