Requirements

- excellent organizational and communication skills
- experience with menu planning, inventory management, and food costing
- ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Responsibility
- create and update menus regularly, taking into consideration customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and dietary restrictions
- manage food inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring that ingredients are always fresh and available
- monitor kitchen operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that service runs smoothly and efficiently
- develop new recipes and menu items that reflect the flavors and traditions of Mediterranean cuisine
- work closely with the restaurant manager to develop and implement strategies for attracting and retaining customers
- plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and taste
- train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they are knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation practices and that they adhere to established standards of quality and consistency
