production manager
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- the Production Operations Manager will work closely within a small team where new ideas and direction are encouraged
- it is very much a hands-on role where people and process are key
- day-to-day management of the factory to meet output targets, customer requirements and specifications, while driving productivity
- creating and executing daily, weekly and monthly schedules
- to lead, manage and continuously improve production process. Plan, organise and coordinate resources and team to meet production requirements
- maintenance of factory equipment
- responsible for the running of the flexible production facility and warehouse
- to ensure the company’s vision, values, policies and procedures are adhered. Create new policies when required
Requirements
- focus on the bigger picture of the business and reacting to the needs of the business
- proven track record of production and warehouse management
- up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, disciplinary procedures, H&S requirements, completing reports and investigations
- able to calmly manage under periods of high pressure or changes in schedule
- competent motivator of staff/teams. A good driven people manager
- understanding of food and drink production technology and implications to the business
- passionate about the success of the business and in line with the vision and ambitions of a growing company. An enthusiastic can-do attitude is essential
- knowledge of fresh food packing environment
