assist in the preparation of seafood dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
ensure that all ingredients are prepared and stored correctly and that food is cooked to a high standard
follow established recipes and contribute to menu development and specials
maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food hygiene and safety regulations
assist with stock control, including ordering and rotating supplies
work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that food is delivered on time and to a high standard
Requirements
cooking
previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, preferably with seafood
knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques, including seafood preparation and cooking
ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and professionalism
strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work well with others in a busy kitchen
passion for food and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibility
train and manage staff to ensure they are providing high-quality service and meeting performance expectations
help develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
collaborate with the kitchen team to create and execute seasonal menus that showcase the freshest seafood available
ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
monitor and analyse restaurant performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement plans to achieve goals
maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and high levels of employee engagement
oversee all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, including but not limited to: food and beverage service, customer service, staffing, inventory, and financial management
Requirements
strong leadership and communication skills
ability to multitask, prioritise, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment
proficiency in restaurant management administration; stock taking etc., point-of-sale systems
knowledge of food and beverage trends and the ability to incorporate them into the restaurant's offerings
5+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a seafood or fine dining establishment
understanding of financial management principles and the ability to manage budgets, analyse information and make data-driven decisions for the benefit of the business
