Responsibility

  • assist in the preparation of seafood dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • ensure that all ingredients are prepared and stored correctly and that food is cooked to a high standard

  • maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food hygiene and safety regulations
  • assist with stock control, including ordering and rotating supplies
  • work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure that food is delivered on time and to a high standard

Requirements

  • previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, preferably with seafood
  • knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques, including seafood preparation and cooking
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and professionalism
  • strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work well with others in a busy kitchen
  • passion for food and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibility

  • train and manage staff to ensure they are providing high-quality service and meeting performance expectations
  • help develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
  • collaborate with the kitchen team to create and execute seasonal menus that showcase the freshest seafood available
  • ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • monitor and analyse restaurant performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement plans to achieve goals
  • maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and high levels of employee engagement
  • oversee all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, including but not limited to: food and beverage service, customer service, staffing, inventory, and financial management

Requirements

  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to multitask, prioritise, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency in restaurant management administration; stock taking etc., point-of-sale systems
  • knowledge of food and beverage trends and the ability to incorporate them into the restaurant's offerings
  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a seafood or fine dining establishment
  • understanding of financial management principles and the ability to manage budgets, analyse information and make data-driven decisions for the benefit of the business
