Responsibility
- ensure all café equipment is maintained correctly and that accurate maintenance schedules are recorded and logged
- to ensure the satisfaction of all customers by ensuring that service is prompt, efficient and delivered to the highest standards
- to deal with all customer enquiries in a polite and courteous manner
- to assist in the planning and execution of any special functions or events
- have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all items on the menu & drinks list, including any specials or new items. Always deliver these at a high and consistent level
- to ensure a safe and hygienic environment is maintained for customers, staff and visitors and report any defects immediately to the Café Manager and/or supervisor
- to ensure that all staff maintain high standard of personal hygiene and that individual and the operation meet statutory food safety standards
- to ensure that each day’s sales are correctly and accurately reconciled in line with the electronic-point-of-sale report and credit card terminal
