underwriter
Responsibility
receive submissions from brokers, complete initial basic risk analysis, complete pre-underwriting documentation and when required present information within team Peer Review
manage the Terrorism DUA portfolio, including slips, wordings, aggregates and referrals
issue terms to brokers as directed and authorised
be responsible for managing, building and developing broker relationships for your line of business
start to develop basic knowledge of wording and technical understanding, market environments as well as building basic risk analysis capabilities
attend client presentations and meetings
set-up system records and maintain underwriting systems and controls including LIPPS, Spring, DMS and other relevant systems
be able to underwrite risks for your line of business within your underwriting authority and subsequently report decisions where required
Requirements
good level of formal education – Degree and Cert CII / DIP CII or ACII desirable
good level of formal education - Degree desirable
progression towards Cert CII / DIP CII or ACII is an advantage
excellent attention to detail, self-discipline and time management
knowledge of Power BI desirable
excellent attention to detail, self discipline and time management
good verbal and written communication skills
self-starter with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels
