THE LANCASHIRE PROPERTY GROUP is looking for employees for positions:
underwriter
Responsibility
- receive submissions from brokers, complete initial basic risk analysis, complete pre-underwriting documentation and when required present information within team Peer Review
- manage the Terrorism DUA portfolio, including slips, wordings, aggregates and referrals
- issue terms to brokers as directed and authorised
- be responsible for managing, building and developing broker relationships for your line of business
- start to develop basic knowledge of wording and technical understanding, market environments as well as building basic risk analysis capabilities
- attend client presentations and meetings
- set-up system records and maintain underwriting systems and controls including LIPPS, Spring, DMS and other relevant systems
- be able to underwrite risks for your line of business within your underwriting authority and subsequently report decisions where required
Requirements
- good level of formal education – Degree and Cert CII / DIP CII or ACII desirable
- good level of formal education - Degree desirable
- progression towards Cert CII / DIP CII or ACII is an advantage
- excellent attention to detail, self-discipline and time management
- knowledge of Power BI desirable
- excellent attention to detail, self discipline and time management
- good verbal and written communication skills
- self-starter with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels
