Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent, Masters is desired but not essential
  • good IT knowledge and experience featuring Microsoft Packages
  • personable and a ‘can do’ attitude with resource management experience
  • be clear, concise, professional and personable when communicating with clients, colleagues and suppliers
  • the ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times
  • some knowledge and use of appropriate design analysis software desirable
  • able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients

Responsibility

  • working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • undertake the cost aspects of the refurbishment project from inception to completion
  • prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications
  • provide regular cost reports and project forecasts to senior management and clients
  • conduct cost analysis and cost control measures to keep the project within budget
  • assist in the procurement process, including the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers
  • ensure that all contractual obligations are met and any issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • monitor the financial performance of the project and report on any risks or opportunities for cost savings

estimator

Responsibility

  • scope and risk identification
  • assist bids manager with kick-off meetings and bids programme
  • collaborate with procurement and commercial departments
  • understand and challenge project solutions
  • analyse supply chain quotations and benchmark costs
  • prepare client pricing documents and assist with post-submission presentations
  • maintain professional working relationships

mechanical fitter

Requirements

  • IPC630 – A bonus not a requirement but worth checking
  • experience working in a FOD free area
  • small and medium sized bench sub-assembly
  • assembly of sub-components into panels
  • working with machined box builds
  • use of basic hand power tools
  • use of basic hand tools, typically nuts/bolts/fasteners
  • experience using Torque drivers, and working with torqued components
