- to assist with setting out of food for service in accordance with the menus
- step up to cover the kitchen manager in periods of absence
- to prepare the kitchen equipment for service
- to undertake the cleaning of equipment and kitchen and to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
- follow the correct recipes and ensure compliance with menus are adhered to daily, including all displays, presentation, promotion and pricing
- setting and driving standards of the school meal provision
- ensure sales production is produced to the correct amount each day, that portion control is correct and waste is reduced
- to set up the dining room and arrange the dining room furniture
