Responsibility
- repair and replace damaged vehicle parts, including body panels, doors, fenders, and hoods
- use welding equipment to fix metal parts and restore vehicles to their original condition
- read and interpret repair diagrams and specifications to determine the correct repair method
- straighten bent frames and realign parts to restore the original shape of the vehicle
- use grinders, sanders, and other hand tools to prepare surfaces for painting
- ensure that all repairs are carried out in accordance with industry standards and best practices
- maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety
Requirements
- proven experience as a panel beater and welder, with a minimum of 5 years in the automotive industry
- familiarity with various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- knowledge of various metal fabrication and repair techniques
- strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good communication skills and ability to communicate with customers and colleagues
- must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
