Responsibility
- to operate the purchase ordering and purchase ledger function ensuring the school authorisation procedures and financial controls are followed
- to generate and process supplier payment runs. To process other school payments as required
- administration of the Friends of HBS Parental Support Scheme and other fund-raising, including Gift Aid
- administration of the HBSA, former students association, the Parents’ Association and fund-raising events
- to oversee the Lettings income, including liaising with potential external hirers, administering the bookings, raising invoices and reconciling income
- contributing to the smooth-running of the office, reception and other support staff functions
- part of the team of First Aiders
Requirements
- education to at least A level or equivalent Essential
- full or Part Qualified AAT accounting technician or equivalent
- high level of organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks Essential
- ability to communicate effectively with all members of the school community Essential
- ability to work on own and with a team Essential
- ability to acquire knowledge and skills in unfamiliar situations and solve problems Desirable
- ability to work accurately - detail conscious Essential
- minimum 2 years' financial experience, to include: Purchase ledger management, supplier account management, payment processing, Ledger accounting
