  • essential 2 years post qualifying experience in an Early Years Setting
  • basic Food and Hygiene Certificate
  • experience in a Senior Position

Education

  • assist in keeping updated the Self-Evaluation Form and the Quality Improvement Plan in line with OFSTED standards
  • desirable A recent First Aid qualification
  • provide learning experiences which reflect and celebrate the multicultural and diverse nature of the communities that we serve
  • regularly review targets and extend them where necessary
  • produce and keep updated an Ofsted Self-Evaluation Form , Focus Improvement Plan, Action plan and Quality improvement audit
  • SENCO related qualification/training
  • regularly meet with parents/ carers to set, review targets and extend them where necessary
  • ensure that the physical needs of children are met, encourage good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence

Responsibility

  • responsible To: Early Education Manager
  • monitor absence and performance
  • be responsible for Early Years admissions in line with the admissions policy and keep a register and up to date records of all children using the Early Education provision
  • undertake any other duties deemed to be appropriate by the Chief Executive and or Board of Trustees

  • take responsibility for the induction of new staff, volunteers and student placements
  • monitor and control budgets
