Responsibility

- to also be part of the reception/administrator rota
- arrange home visits ensuring careful recording of all relevant details for the doctor
- deal with patient bookings and enquiries in a friendly and courteous manner both face to face and over the telephone
- to be responsible for the efficient management and direction of the reception team, ensuring all administrative duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice
- the Palms Medical Centre is a very busy GP surgery. This post also requires the candidate to be flexible to cover sickness and Annual leave for any working hours between 8.00am - 6.30pm
- action prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner including repeat/controlled and acute prescriptions as per practice prescribing protocols
- to support the management team in promoting equality diversity and inclusion, safety, quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development, and to carry out other duties as directed by the management team
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- administrative experience: 1 year
- team management: 1 year
