- to maintain the agreed stock levels of food
- to make sure any food waste is disposed of as appropriate
Requirements
- to provide, prepare and cook wholesome nutritional meals for the residents on a daily basis; ensuring a balanced and healthy diet using a variety of fresh produce
- the enjoyment of food and social participation of mealtimes are particularly important to the service users and have a very important role in their quality of life
- the Cook is a key member of the staff team and plays a vital role in the health and welfare of the residents
