Responsibility

  • the Good Grub is a full-service, locally owned and operated restaurant group in London
  • we are looking for a Kitchen Porter to assist in the preparation of food and to maintain sanitation in the kitchen
  • follow work instructions from the manager and owner
  • set up workstations with all necessary ingredients
  • prepare ingredients for cooking by using kitchen equipment such as knives, pots and pans etc
  • clean equipment used in cooking such as frying pans, ovens etc
  • store food according to recipe standards at all times
  • check food while cooking to ensure quality

Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • prior experience in food preparation and or production is preferred
  • must be able to follow oral instructions
  • must be able to work cooperatively with others
  • must be able to follow instructions and work independently
  • must be capable of performing some form of physical labor
