Responsibility
- to maintain the extensive lawns, borders, ornamental shrubs and fruit trees
- cut and shape hedges, ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to
- propagate perennials at the suitable time for each plant
- liaise with the Catering Manager with regard to fruit and vegetables to be grown for the Garden Café
- tend to the allotment to produce vegetables, soft fruits, salad crops and herbs for use in the kitchen
- maintain sheds, tools and powered machinery, ensuring regular inspections and testing are carried out
- create compost in a sustainable environment
- prepare the garden for weddings, large cathedral events, or any other special occasion
