Working hours
- part-time
Responsibility
- be an ambassador for the organisation and a point of contact for supporters, donors and corporate and community contacts
- attend Networking events with local organisations and partners to promote the charity and identify opportunities
- carry out talks at community groups e.g. WI and attend events promoting the charity
- manage the charity LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and twitter accounts creating weekly engaging content and responding to enquiries
- work with the staff team to develop new fundraising streams
- support the Chief Executive to develop financial sustainability through new income generating services, such as individual donations, corporate sponsorships
- create promotional leaflets and copy for external publications
- promote and manage the ‘Friends of Blackthorn’ loyalty supporter scheme to expand its members. Oversee the annual renewal process and coordinate the scheme benefits
Requirements
- A proven track record of managing multiple projects with short- and long-term deadlines
- experience of running events
- confident written and oral communicator, comfortable with public speaking, delivering training and written materials
- knowledge of monitoring, evaluation and learning processes
- experience of developing income generating services
- commitment to personal professional development i.e. training or qualification in
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish positive relationships
- ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues and process data sensitively in line with GDPR policy
