- we are looking to employ one or possibly two staff who will be trained to safely produce Bath stone mineral from our mine
- the position requires trainees that are prepared to take on multiple roles within the group and this will include the use of forklift trucks, skidsteer wheeled loaders, tracked excavators with breakers, tractor and trailers, tracked bolting rigs, handheld air leg bolters and tracked face cutting saws
- induction to the mine environment will be undertaken to the National Occupational Standard and this will include all training in the safe operation of the equipment, working in the mining environment and the importance of pre-use checks, defect reporting, hazard identification and communication with all colleagues and management levels
- the right applicant will have high standards of personal responsibility, time keeping and is someone that will always try to do the right thing, especially when the job is difficult and not quite going to plan
- the role is subject to a 3 month probationary period being completed in a satisfactory manner
- the role can be demanding both physically and mentally; to do the job well there is a lot to take in, to remember and to do
