- know how to check that food is fit for purpose
- safe handling and use of kitchen tools
- setting up and closing the kitchen at beginning and end of the day
Responsibility
- ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines are met and adhered to by all staff
- any other reasonable requests by management
- ensure that all hygiene standards are met, including deep cleans
- monitor and maintain stock levels, notifying senior members of staff to any discrepancies
- ensuring that use by dates are followed and food is produced so not to contribute to wastage
