  • responsible to the Assistant Director of Finance for providing support to academies with all elements of business management including the budgeting and day to day accounting processes
  • trust Finance Managers do not directly line manage staff but are responsible for advising, guiding, training and mentoring school finance officers/administrators across the academies within the Trust, but with a specific focus on Cambridgeshire schools in the Trust
  • responsible for taking decisive and preemptive action when required to ensure that budgets are robust and provide a sound basis for each academy
  • manage and maintain the Trust’s Finance Controls Manual
  • ensure that academies maintain accurate and sustainable cash flow projections for the current and future years
  • advising academies on the preparation of annual estimates of in c o me and expenditure and the completion of budgets including three year forecasts and the submission of all reports and documents to the Assistant Director of Finance
  • to act as a key person in the central trust operation for school finance leads, ensuring they have information to carry out their roles effectively
