Responsibility

  • we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanical and / or electrical engineer to join our experienced multi-skilled team
  • the position will be office based in Tonbridge but will include site visits to clients predominately in the South East
  • conducting site surveys for prospective projects
  • designing basic ventilation systems and selecting plant
  • preparing client quotations
  • purchasing plant and materials

Requirements

  • as a minimum we expect you to have
  • A degree or HND in engineering or building services
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • some practical experience in an HVAC or engineering discipline
  • A positive can-do attitude and a personality compatible with teamwork
  • willingness to travel on short assignments and to work paid overtime and flexible hours when necessary
  • full, clean UK driving license
  • excellent customer facing skills

  • you will be involved with a wide variety of ventilation related works from initial conception through to completion
  • assisting service and project teams in the preparation of job packs for field based engineers
  • selecting and ordering parts from suppliers
  • working within small teams of field engineers to complete test and maintenance tasks
  • A practical, flexible, and can-do attitude is essential
  • liaising with subcontractors and field engineers to ensure the smooth running of service contracts

  • confident telephone manner
  • educated to minimum A-Level standard but degree level is preferred
