Responsibility

  • to work at a friendly and independently owned café in the popular, busy market town of Thirsk
  • must work well with other members of the team
  • will be required to take food orders to customers and clear plates if needed
  • keeping the café to a high hygiene standard
  • ordering and making sure we have enough stock for each day
  • we are looking for a confident cook and baker to help in our busy kitchen, must work well under pressure. Training can be given to the right candidate willing to learn
  • day to day running of kitchen including food preparation, good hygiene, cleaning and baking our homemade cakes and scones and including pre ordered items too
  • you will work at the heart of the business and must bring great energy and passion for our industry and love quality food and drink

Requirements

  • some experience in hospitality preferable but not essential. In either a kitchen environment or working front of house
  • must have a good attitude and eager to learn new skills
  • great communication skills with customers, and other members of staff, must be able to work as a team player
  • great energy and passion for local food and the environment
  • reliable, punctual and have a good attention to detail
