Responsibility
- plan and deliver audit engagements - owner managed businesses across a wide variety of sectors, including groups and consolidated accounts
- assist within the wider team by obtaining audit evidence necessary to support opinions given
- prepare analysis of accounting data from clients' books and records
- having the opportunity to manage small teams
- use of risk based approach to identify potential issues, and develop audit work programmes
- ability to identify, research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose solutions
- active engagement with client staff in the gathering of appropriate audit evidence
- prepare statutory accounts, draft tax computations, and consolidations
Requirements
- qualified ACA or ACCA
- previous audit experience in an accountancy practice
- significant client facing audit experience from planning through to completion
- excellent technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- experience of statutory accounts software and using audit software – CCH and Xero preferable
- highly personable with excellent communication skills
- hardworking with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- able to work as part of a team and individually
