  • taylor Studwelding Systems are looking for an adaptable engineer to join our team
  • the position would suit a recent graduate engineer looking for a permanent role in industry
  • the role will allow your recent degree to be applied to real world engineering solutions
  • to be fully successful in the role, we believe the following knowledge, skills and experience are required
  • the principal objective of this role is to work closely with the technical support team, provide support to the manufacturing team producing Studwelding equipment, support the design team with product integration, troubleshoot customer installations and provide repair/ servicing support
  • A full training program will give you plenty of opportunity to become completely acquainted with our team giving you the range and a depth of knowledge of our welding equipment and specialist welding processes
  • when recruiting, we are looking for the best candidate match to this, however we know that some elements can be trained, and this will be taken into account during the recruitment process

Requirements

  • experience of hands-on electronics/electrical, mechanical engineering
  • experience in electrical product assembly & manufacturing
  • there will be a requirement to travel for on-site customer support, therefore a driving licence is essential
  • understanding of Safety critical work and best practice
  • ensuring compliance with the health and safety policy
  • understanding of electronic systems and circuits
  • have a working knowledge of PLC Controlled equipment
  • familiarity with electrical safety test equipment, DVMs, Oscilloscopes, PC based diagnostic and programming tools
