finance officer

Responsibility

  • you therefore need to be comfortable working with multi-currency reporting and multiple differing cost allocation conditions simultaneously
  • the Finance & Reporting officer role will primarily support the financial management of the organisation, assisting with the reporting of management information internally and to the board as well as the reporting to funders and other external stakeholders
  • due to the nature of this role it needs someone who has an eye for detail and is driven by and excels in being accurate whilst meeting deadlines, but who is also pragmatic, and solutions focused to maximise the resources and efficiencies of the organisation
  • we are a complex organisation for our size, and work with an internationally dispersed team managing multiple projects funded by a variety of income streams
  • the role will be part of the Organisational Support & Development team at the Tax Justice Network which is led by the Director, Organisational Support & Development and includes the Head of Finance & Reporting, who this post will report into, Operations Manager, Operations Assistant and Finance Assistant
  • the team lead and deliver on a range of operational services from finance management, risk management, project management, event management, Human Resources, IT systems and other enabling functions
  • as the Tax Justice Network is a virtual organisation with all the team working remotely you need to be self-motivated and comfortable working alone, and alongside being thorough, diligent and independent you should have strength and confidence to judge when to reach out to colleagues to assist and support
