- effectively manage & lead a team of site operatives
- motivating and developing highly trained team members
- managing performance including absence monitoring, timekeeping, identifying areas for improvement and disciplinary issues
- keep records of site team hours, ensuring accrued lieu time is taken during quieter periods
- organising materials in advance of upcoming site work improving efficiency with job turnovers
- lead & motivate a customer focused team, ensuring awareness of commercial aspects of jobs
- liaise with the technical sales team to capture and assess requirements for future workload
- you will work alongside HR to induct new recruits, facilitating learning through classroom instruction, practical training and on-site coaching. Ultimately supporting staff retention at Target Structural
Requirements
- someone with previous experience in the construction industry
- ideally holds a CSCS card and have ideally completed the SSSTS or SMSTS course
- previous experience supervising and training site operatives or this would be your next step
- somebody with the appetite to learn new skills
- someone reliable and punctual
- must be able to stay away from home when necessary
- the role will be based in Head Office for 2 -3 days a week and the remaining time will be working on, or overseeing and monitoring sites
- full clean UK driving licence
