TARBAT HISTORIC TRUST is looking for employees for positions:

Requirements

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • minimum of 3 years’ experience managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring performance
  • project management
  • reasonable proximity to the Tarbat Discovery Centre in Portmahomack

Responsibility

  • the Project Manager will report to a designated Trustee of the Tarbat Historic Trust
  • this will be a part-time position, averaging 16 hours per week for two eight-month periods across the duration of the project
  • refine, update, and maintain the project plan, which includes tasks, dates, responsible parties
  • salary and benefits are negotiable. The selected applicant will be subject to a PVG check
  • the Project Manager will oversee the tasks to be performed, which include a Lead Craftsman creating new materials for the Tarbat Discovery Centre based on archaeological artefacts found on site, Gaelic storytellers who will visit schools and communities, outreach events and activities that recreate historic print making and tell the Tarbat story, materials for websites and social media, and budget management
  • schedule and host events at the Tarbat Discovery Centre, such as the planned lecture series and craft making experiences
  • the job will require occasional presence at the Tarbat Discovery Centre in Portmahomack; much of the managerial work can be performed remotely
  • assist the project’s Evaluator in distributing and collecting feedback forms
