Responsibility
- supervise and coordinate all groundwork activities on-site
- oversee excavation and backfilling of a 200-metre trench for utility installations
- manage the preparation and installation of an 8m x 3m concrete pad
- ensure the proper installation of drainage systems, complying with environmental regulations
- operate or oversee machinery such as mini-diggers, dumpers, and compactors when required
- ensure all work is carried out to site plans and specifications
- maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health & safety regulations
- coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
- proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman or Supervisor in commercial groundworks
- strong knowledge of trenching, drainage installation, and concrete works
- ability to read and interpret site plans
- experience in operating basic construction machinery
- valid CSCS card
- excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- A valid driving licence is beneficial for site access
