Responsibility
- our waking night shifts are from 10pm-8am
- the successful applicant must be able to work a 30hour per week contract, which will include some weekends
- provide support and assistance to individuals with complex learning disabilities
- there is also opportunity for overtime
- carrying out awake night duties including personal care, laundry and ironing and medication administration
- maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals in accordance with established guidelines
- provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the Service Manager
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or special needs is preferred but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
- flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays from the hours between 8am-10pm, including sleep-in shifts where necessary
- patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
