Responsibility

  • manage the activities of the home
  • supervise the activities of staff in the home
  • coordinate with other departments to ensure that services are running efficiently
  • communicate with the board of directors, board of directors' assistant, and residents' assistants regarding financial matters
  • coordinate with HHA staff regarding resident care and needs
  • coordinate with HHA staff regarding client placement, discharge, and on-going care
  • manage any emergencies or situations that arise in the home
  • maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff

Requirements

  • proven experience as home manager or related position working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • knowledge of basic budgeting principles and how to maximize revenue
  • working knowledge of emergency management procedures and protocols
  • ability to build rapport with clients
  • excellent organizational skills multitasking abilities
