Responsibility
- provide leadership and support for support staff and act as a champion for service user’ safety and dignity
- routinely oversees and monitors care and support staff
- takes responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty
- responding to emergencies and provides guidance and support to support workers
- assisting and enabling service users with activities of daily living
- to provide a high quality of care and support for people with mental illness and/or behaviours that may challenge; to maximise the recovery and skills potential of each individual living in their own homes/support services within the community for whom Talbot care supported living provides a service; to achieve the highest possible standards of care and support in a professional manner
- assist in serving meals to service users at table or in bed, assists with feeding if required
- to adhere to and act in accordance with the principles and values enshrined in the company’s mission statement, philosophy of care and statement of purpose
