Responsibility
- we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our Pathology department at the Princess Royal University Hospital
- the successful candidate will have HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist as well as a Masters degree or equivalent experience
- this 12-month fixed term role as the Operations Manager in Biochemistry, offers the successful candidate a chance to build on their existing management experience and gain an insight into the role of an Operations Manager with Synnovis in a district general hospital setting
- this is an exciting time for Synnovis as we are working toward our Hub and spoke model and implementing new state of the art technologies across our laboratory sites
- the current Laboratory LIMS used is APEX, however work is underway to implement EPIC Beaker in the coming months, therefore experience with these systems would be advantageous
- the Biochemistry department processes approximately 1.6 million tests per year and the main analytical platform currently in place is the Roche Cobas 8000 system which also includes the Roche c513 module for HbA1C analysis and a p512 pre-analytics module
- the partnership provides diagnostics, testing and digital pathology for hospital trusts, GP services and other healthcare providers
- the post holder will be required to be an efficient and flexible team member and provide guidance to the team through the up and coming transformation, whilst continuing to delivering a high quality diagnostic service to our patients
