Responsibility
- evaluate available cell models for a range of human cell types
- develop protocols to culture human cells and transfect them with DNA plasmids
- collaborate with other team members to develop/implement analytical methods to measure gene/protein expression
- become an active member of the R&D management team, helping to shape both short and long-term R&D strategies
- to initially support, and in time lead, management of projects, including internal R&D projects and external collaborative projects
Education
- phD
Requirements
- phD in mammalian cell engineering, molecular biology, synthetic biology, bioengineering or biological sciences
- experience of culturing and transfecting human cells in vitro
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a wider team
