Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years’ experience in an environment that requires high-level web development skills or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • experience with HTML & CSS; JavaScript; jQuery; React; Integrating plug-ins
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with internal and external teams
  • experience in using Figma for designs
  • experience in working in an agile environment
  • you are proactive in seeking out and evaluating emerging technologies that can add value to the platform
  • excellent time-management skills; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibility

  • as part of this your main task will be taking the Figma designs to update our current UI
  • this will include correcting the current JavaScript/html/CSS files to adhere to modern front end coding standards along with implementing SASS/SCSS
  • within this we will also be looking at converting some of the JavaScript files to use React
  • we’ve been spending this year updating our current user interface with a full fresh overhaul, new branding, colouring, and designs to make our product look modern and as appealing to the user as possible
  • knowledge with React and integrating React files into an existing project will also be required
  • we are working closely with a design company who specialise in this along with UI/UX specialists to ensure this is done properly
  • after the UI has been updated, we will be breaking the software down into sections to look at improving the UX to make it as client friendly and useable as possible
  • we are looking for a Front-End Developer with exceptional JavaScript/html/SCSS skills, who knows how to update existing file layouts and styles to bring them up to modern standards especially with SASS
