Education

  • bachelor of Science Hon in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent/degree/diploma
  • GCSE or equivalent
  • diagnostic Medical Ultrasound or Postgraduate Diploma or Master of Science in Medical Ultrasound
  • MSK Ultrasound module or equivalent training
  • health and Care Professions Council registered

Requirements

  • good level of education - ideally to 5 GCSE level
  • desirable - healthcare assistant qualification / equiv NVQ
  • can work flexibly across days of the week
  • ideally worked as a sonographer assistant , dealing directly with patients, a healthcare assistant role would be considered
  • excellent IT and communication skills
  • worked flexibly and independently managing workload with the rest of the team
  • current full driving licence with access to car (will be required to carry equipment to different workplaces - in GP practices in the surrounding areas of East and West Kent
  • current full driving licence with access to car (will be required to carry equipment to different workplaces - in GP practices in the surrounding areas of Ashford

Responsibility

  • assist with Risk Assessments as required
  • to attend relevant meetings and courses
  • all staff are provided with PPE. Patients are asked to attend on their own and wear a mask where possible. Patients are advised not to attend their appt. and inform us if they have been in contact with COVID 19
  • adhere to all Surgimed Healthcare’s policies, guidelines and procedures
  • minimise risk by ensuring best practice is maintained at all times
  • to complete appropriate documentation – computerised and paper patient records including writing scan results in the case notes
  • attend all required mandatory training
  • identify and implement ideas for cost improvement and/or income generation
