Responsibility
- construct and assemble scaffolding structures according to specifications and safety regulations
- dismantle scaffolding after project completion, ensuring all materials are safely stored or disposed of
- collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and electricians, to ensure seamless project execution
- utilise hand tools and power tools effectively and safely during scaffold construction and maintenance
- conduct regular inspections of scaffolding for stability and safety compliance
- assist in the fabrication of scaffold components as needed, ensuring quality workmanship throughout the process
- maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site
Requirements
- proven experience in scaffold building or a related trade such as carpentry or masonry is preferred
- familiarity with using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- ability to plumb structures accurately to ensure stability
- knowledge of basic welding techniques is an advantage
- experience in painting or roof work is beneficial but not essential
- strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated when required
- physical fitness is necessary, as the role involves lifting heavy materials and working at heights
