Responsibility
- create and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- design, develop and execute automation scripts e.g., PostMan, for both functional and non-functional testing, such as Performance testing
- estimate, prioritize, plan and execute testing activities. Incorporate QA into the end-to-end development and release process
- perform regression testing as appropriate to enable the team to release with confidence
- help to track and prioritise defects, and report on test activities and test results
- review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Help guide the team on how, and what should and should not be tested. Help ensure clear requirements that are “testable”
- help to ensure effective approach and techniques for test environment and test data provisioning
- help identify and support the team in adopting new testing tools and practices
Requirements
- demonstrable experience in the integrating and execution of automated test scripts as part of continuous integration
- solid SDLC experience with good working practice of Agile iterative delivery, including familiarity with Scrum or similar team methodology
- familiarity with both functional and non-functional test requirements and testing techniques
- strong documentation and verbal communication skills
- good experience with automated API testing tools such as Postman
- ideally hold ISTQB, ASTQB, or similarly recognised industry testing qualification to foundation level
- good experience in performance testing of APIs using Blazemeter, or similar
- some familiarity with microservice test strategy including best practices for API test automation
