SUPPORT HEALTH CARE is looking for employees for positions:

Responsibility

  • deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients that reflect their individual needs
  • accurately communicate with, observe and engage with residents/Service Users in order to assess need and evaluate progress
  • support Health Care is seeking compassionate Registered Mental Health nurse for short and long-term placements and ad-hoc shifts in a care setting that supports people with mental health needs
  • understand and participate in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance
  • provide accurate information about care in an accessible format to residents/service Users and their families
  • assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse
  • this includes the evaluation and review of these plans, with the patient/Service User, on a frequent basis, that is reflective of their needs
  • ensures record keeping is accurate and documentation is completed contemporaneously including daily notes and incident reports

Requirements

  • RGN/RMN Qualification
  • active Nurse PIN
  • minimum 6 months post registration experience within Mental Health/Learning Disability Nursing with evidence of continued professional development in relevant field
  • caring, Professional, Reliable
  • excellent communication skills
  • proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check
  • immunisations against Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and BCG

Education

  • knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practices
  • evidence of post registration continuing professional development
  • demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
  • ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise
  • excellent verbal , interpersonal and written communication skills
  • IT literate
  • qualified Registered Nurse Mental Health/ Learning Disability), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship or equivalent programme
