Responsibility
- ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- to assist individuals with daily tasks, support them to improve the quality of their lives
- the work schedule may include weekends, evening shifts and round-the-clock care
- develop effective working relationships with other employees within Sunburst Care Services
- work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for Service Users
- assisting the patient with bathing, grooming and getting dressed
- handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
- you may be required to work with children, the elderly and people with physical and learning disabilities based on your abilities and experience
Requirements
- must have one to two years of experience in care work
- empathy and sensitivity
- previous experience working in a home care, hospice, hospital for Adults and /or Children
- tact and discretion
- familiarity with health and safety best practices, first aid, patient moving and handling and end of life care are also useful
- excellent communication
- experience working with individuals with disabilities is necessary
